KTM 390 adv (2020) on sale

With a sad and a laughing eye I’m selling my KTM 390 Adventure (2020)!

We’ve had so much fun riding around East Africa, and went all the way to Cape Town together. It is fully functional and has no known issues. No crashes, just offroad drops.

Update: SOLD!

There are many 390ADVs… this one is ideal for:

  • a person of short height. It was lowered by 20mm at the monoshock and reversing that is possible but would require some effort. Seat height 835mm now. I’m 1.59m and have one foot down. Details below.
  • someone who loves touring. If adventure riding excites you, you’ll save some money and time as it already has added extras (crash bars, saddle stays, display guard, adv tires). Details below.

You can read more details and my full review of the bike here.

Asking price: 690,000 KES ONO. Whatsapp: 0737-432119

Service History

  • Bought at 4,900km second hand. Current mileage ~ 35,900km
  • I buy my own parts and liquids, then work with a trusted mech on the bike together.
  • Oil change (only Motul 7100 15w-50) and oil filters from Rad254 done at 5,000km, 10k, 17k, 23,500km, 31k
  • Chain and Sprockets were changed at 17,000km… Seems to be fantastic quality because the chain has not stretched in the 18,000km covered since then: DID X-Ring Chain 520 VX3 and JT Sprockets with noise reduction.
  • Brake Fluid changed at 35,000km
  • Coolant changed at 35,000km
  • Air filters changed regularly. Last time at ~30k
  • Valve clearance adjustment done at 35k
  • Original bearings, spark plug, brake pads and everything else.

Extras on the bike:

Cosmetic Issues

  • Seat had a tiny hole which was fixed
  • There aren’t any crashbars or handguards without scratches, obviously. That’s their job 😅

Reason for selling

  • Don’t want to get too comfortable with thumpers. Looking to get a 2-cylinder adventure bike finally 🙂

This is how it looks like with the topbox and without saddle bags:
